FCUP joined the initial core of Faculties of the University of Porto at the time of its creation in 1911 and still remains committed to exploring the opportunities for cooperation and collaboration not only with other entities within the UP, but also national or international entities.

Obviously during the course of its 100 years FCUP grew and developed, widening the scope of its competences to such diverse fields such as Geographical Engineering, Astronomy, Computer Science and Information Technology, Biochemistry, Landscape Architecture, Environmental Sciences and Agricultural Sciences.
